With the trip now less than 3 days away, here are some points to remember:
- We will depart at 7:30am sharp on Friday (we have a boat to catch) but please do not bring your children before 7:15am when the school gates will open for registration of the children.
- Mobile phones, tablets, portable games consoles and other electronic devices are not permitted on the trip
- Spending money for this trip is not required and therefore money should not be given to the children before our departure.
- Children should bring TWO towels with them – one for showering / washing and one for drying after water-based activities.
- All bedding is supplied by the UKSA.
- Children MUST bring a suitable pair of shoes to wear in the water. Wet shoes are ideal, but old trainers will be sufficient.
- The children will be spending the majority of their time in the water in wetsuits, so please ensure they have at least two changes of clothes to wear under the wetsuit as this will allow sufficient time for each set to dry between activities.
- Children’s belongings should be packed in a wheeled case or bag as we will have a few minutes’ walk from where the coach drops us off in Portsmouth to the dockside for our ferry, and they will also need to carry it upstairs at the UKSA.
- All belongings should be clearly labelled with your child's name
- A packed lunch is required for Friday - no bottles, cans etc.
At this point we anticipate arriving back to school at approximately 4.00pm on Monday 26th June. Where possible we will update parents if there are any changes due to traffic, and we would also encourage parents to monitor our homeward journey via our tracker on this blog site (Click here).
